Rutland freestyle windsurfing

so me and the boys went on holiday last 2 weeks to el medano tenerief it was a wkd holiday however broom came out for 5 days and KILLED the wind but here is a video of the other 3 guys windsurfing after and befor he was there filmed on my new camera. enjoy

so i got myself an oregon scientific bullet cam about a year ago and i have never really captures anything worth waching untill i started mounting it on my mast. i went out the other day with it strapped on and this is what it came up with. i appologise for the edeting skills windows movi maker doesnt make it easy. so enjoy waching me hurt myself, im purticually impressed with the final scene! let me know what you think...

Haha myself Dan and Broom, manages to get a week off to go down to Cornwall and Devon to go to the Tushy Dealers Conference, and what a week it was. We went down a day early to catch a good forecast at Weymouth to do a bit of freestyling in 40kts, seemed like a good idea at the time but we had to be at bantham by 8pm which made things interesting but it was so worth it, check out these pics of me trying to learn to spock and Dan going hard on the flaka

I think the greatest thing about this trip was the broominator (ed)  who started on the trip with just a wetsuit and a harness and we drove home again after being at the warehouse with a new kombat 96 and 2 sails for him. This move we dubbed the bank spank as (although im embarrassed to say) he also purchased a yacht 2 days later ! What a trip.
And naturally were too late off the water to get to bantham in time so we stayed in Weymouth and went out got rather inebriated, abused a didgeridoo and was almost late for the conference itself the next day.

 We went to daymer a couple of days later and again scored some awesome freestyle and waves, broom got to try out is new board which got named pussy galore Dan convinced himself he needed a new kode 74 in his life and after cracking the spock and landing 3 spock 2 540's and 2 one handed in a row I convinced myself that I needed a new flare.

So all in all an epic trip! But so expensive, we came back with 1 new windsurf board and 2 new sup’s with 2 more potentially on order.

Hello and welcome to the blog
The Rutland freestyle scene it starting to become rather large with an elite of people being able to Spock, loop, and an assortment of other suitably stupid and mind warping tricks. With this I hope to show and expose all the talented windsurfers at Rutland and show the rest of the world that Rutland is a freestyle spot to be reckoned with.
There will also be videos, pictures and reports on all the sessions and trips that we go on which this winter like last should be a fair few!
rutland is enjoyed by hundreds of windsurfers through out the year and must be regarded as the best inland windsurfing spot in the whole of the uk, on any of the days that there is wind you are sure to see one of the guys i am about to introduce laying it down, and thrying to pull off the next big thing!
